Ms. Bowman stressed the importance of tapping into current world issues relevant to young Canadians to captivate readers. She also recommended the team think about making the physical appearance of the newsletter consistent so that it can be more easily distinguished from other newsletters and strengthen the connection between the newsletter and OTLF as an organization. Ms. Bowman also recommended that the team make use of the accessibility of the internet to promote the publications to a wider audience. Aside from discussing improvements for the newsletter, she also engaged in discussions with the team about current Ontario issues. It was interesting to hear about the same issues from a very different person’s perspective and it made for a very refining and eye-opening conversation. Overall, having the honor to converse and learn from such an accomplished individual was an enriching experience for all of us attending the meeting.
